Sunday Bloody Sunday (translated into "South African" by Steve Hofmeyr)
I can't believe the news today I can't close my eyes, and make it go away How long, must we sing this song How long, to kill somebody else’s young Tonight...
The Boere father stands and weeps Bodies bleeding at his feet Bono, used to understand the call Kill the Boer, Bono says yes shoot them all...
Kill the Boer, before Sunday Kill the Boer, before Sunday Kille the Boer, before Sunday (click to hear the melody)
As he sings we lose a few Many lost, what’s another one or two The trench is dug within our hearts And mothers, children, brothers, sisters Torn apart
Kill the Boer, before Sunday Kill the Boer, before Sunday Kill the Boer, before Sunday (the video will blow your mind.click here)
No excuses, Bono. You knew exactly what the question about freedom songs implied. Thus your answer "Malema?". None of what you said was entirely wrong, but with your educated guesses, I'd have made the simple distinction between freedom songs and hate speech. We would like to offer you a free farm in Limpopo. We give you thirty days before every South African becomes Oliver Cromwell in your Irish eyes. Please, sir, update your African omniscience. Wiki won't do.
Steve Hofmeyr U2 fan
P.S.
I have now pretty much heard all the reasons why I oppose Kill The Boer hate speech. My reason? Well, it’s hate speech. Therefor illegal. Not so, say many South Africans. Steve...
Is getting old. Is selling no CD’s. Polluted the Jukskei. Is over the wall. Needs the attention. Is jealous of Arno. Is jealous of Bono. Hates blacks. Doesnt Struggle.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I’m...
...true, I'm five years younger than Bono, was one of the top South African CD’s sellers last year (2010), never came close to the Jukskei (it’s a metaphor, dicky), only beginning my story, getting more attention than Lady Di, Arno who?, has sold more CD’s than U2 in SA, actually love blacks but HATE black policy, right in the middle of our own struggle to survive African brutality on an hourly basis!
One day maybe I'll be seen as someone with legit concerns and no more. Before I blame ALL South Africans of idiocratic sing-a-long, may I express my utter amazement at the non-Afrikaner support I am getting from any South African and similar minority victims all over the world. Especially black folk understand the pain of what is happening to my people. Those without amnesia, off course. The rest? Do I antagonise them? Ah, and you have no idea how much I’m gonna luv doin it. This country. South Africa. Man, I got plans to fix it.
With or without Bono...
